Mark Ellis, Executive Chef
Originally from the Northeast, Chef Mark Ellis started cooking at very young age, and has since been influenced by his world travels. His international culinary experiences have exposed him to diverse cuisines and cultures. Having lived across the United States, he has immersed himself in diverse local foods of Florida, the Gulf Coast and the Los Angeles / Central Coast of California regions.
Throughout the year Chef Mark works with event specialists and local farmers to create customized menus with ingredients grown fresh and sustainably at our partner farms.
Sean Dobruck, Director of Operations
Sean hails from Redondo Beach, California and is always in search of new opportunities for creativity with his events. He loves to see the joy on the faces of his clients, whether it be their wedding day, birthday, anniversaryor other life event. Driven to make these special days unique and memorable, Sean is ambitious and detail-oriented, turning a client’s dreams into reality. Sean has always loved entertaining, from putting together the perfect guest list, to poring over recipe books and magazines for just the right menu, to selecting background music and finding those little touches that make each event unique and special
Mark and Sean relocaled to the gorgeous mountains of Western North Carolina over a decade ago and created what is now New Mountain Events.
Our in-house staff, servers and bartenders are carefully screened, selected, and trained before they become members of the New Mountain Events team.
